Thus at one view, the Greek word with its literal and derivative meanings may be found for every word in the English New Testament.

In this Critical Lexicon the English words have been given in order, and when two or more are used in the translation of one Greek word, they will be found in order in each case at the foot of the first body of references, where, if not too numerous, they are referred to. The order of the Greek words has been determined generally by the frequency with which they have been so translated.
